Welcome to Hain Celestial Europe
Philippe Woitrin, CEO Hain Celestial Europe:

"In 1994, Irwin Simon, originally from Canada, embarked on an adventure investing in the top brands of natural and organic products.

In December 2001, he asked me to participate in this adventure by incorporating the Lima group into Hain. It is in relying on this foundation that Hain Celestial Europe was developed.


In 2007, Lima celebrated its 50 year anniversary. It is a pioneer in organic products not only because it began persuading new consumers in 1957, but also by innovating and bringing to Europe products such as rice cakes, soy sauces, rice milk, Kamut® and many other organic nutrients that corresponded to consumers' new expectations.

From the beginning, Lima invested in its own laboratory, well equipped in gas chromatography in particular, to fully control all of its raw materials and finished products and thus detect any potential trace of pesticides and insecticides.

Towards the end of the 1980s, we directly participated in developing specifications and defining organic products in Europe.

At the start of 1990, we opposed genetically modified products by organising meetings in Brussels with mass distributors of various nationalities as well as with European Commissioners who represented us before the Commission.

Today, at Hain Celestial along with Lima, we market brands such as:

- Rice Dream, inventors of rice milk in the United States
- Celestial Seasonings, the No. 1 in herbal teas in the United States
- Terra chips, which sells natural chips with less fat, thanks to our patented process
- Natumi, a renowned brand of vegetable drinks in organic stores in Germany and other European   countries

We export more than 80% of our products, the majority of which are produced in our factories.
